Steve's legacy inspires Research on Orcas |

Darrel and Cath have decided that as a tribute to Steve Irwin they will carry on in a voluntary capacity with the planned research trip that he was to have been a part of. Spirit of Sydney will be the research platform for 6 of the world's leading cetacean biologists who will be conducting studies of southern ocean Orcas and Humpback whales. The study will take place over the months of January and February 2007 and Spirit will range in pursuit of the animals from the Enterprise Island area to the Argentine Islands.
